So far,we have publish some guide,How to replace laptop keyboard,how to replace laptop LCD,How to replace laptop.How to replace laptop fan,how to replace laptop cover.Now,I talk an case,Repair and Remove IBM Thinkpad X22 lid hooks and hinges.our Customer have a IBM Thinkpad X22 laptop,but this laptop damaged one of the lid hooks.It is considered the lid hooks and the hinges as the most likely potential troubles of X2-series. Therefore I take some photos to share the Repair process.Attention,this guide should only be used to IBM Thinkpad X22 X23 X24 laptop.because this hooks are different between X20 with X21.ok,Enough of this talk, let’s get right down to business!
Repair and Remove the lid hook
You will need the following tools*screwdriver*knife

First, remove the screws cover on the front bezel with the knife and Remove all screws
Remove the cover on edges of the display bezel.
this picture show Remove this screws on edges of the display bezel.Tips: No need to remove the upper screws which fix the hooks now.


Remove the three screws from the front bezel.

Flex the insides edges of the display bezel with a knife until the bezel disengages from the display enclosure.

Slide the whole bezel until the bezel disengages from the display enclosure.
Now,We remove the two screws on the hinges.Now it is possible to separate the LCD panel from laptop
disengaged

Be Carefully Release the LCD cable.
In order to avoid scratching the LCD panel, you can put something upon the keyboard.

The first-phase preparations have been finished
Now remove the screws which fix the hooks.

Finally, install the new hook, then assemble the whole laptop.

Repair and Remove the Hinges
Remove the three screws which fix the laptop keyboard.
Push the keyboard from the palmrest side to the LCD side, then it is easy to remove.
Release the zero insertion force (ZIF) connector to which the Laptop keyboard cable is attached and disconnect the keyboard cable Release the ZIF connector to which the pointing stick cable is attached and disconnect the pointing stick cable .Remove the keyboard.
Insert a thin flat-bladed tool under the hinge cover of the switch cover and lift up until the switch cover disengages from the Laptop,Remove the switch cover.

Remove the four screws fixing hinges.Next action is pretty simple,removed this hinges
Install the new hinges, then assemble it.

You will need the following tools to complete the removal and replacement laptop motherboard■Magnetic screwdriver■Phillips P0 and P1 screwdrivers■Torx8 screwdriver■Flat-bladed screwdriver
Setp 1:
Search and Buy a corresponding replacement laptop motherboard
Navigate to the support website of your laptop or check the user’s manual for got the part No of motherboard your laptop uses.some model’ parts number is locatedon the bottom of your laptop.you will go to ebay or www.laptoppartwholesale.com and buy a corresponding replacement laptop motherboard.Power off the your laptop and close the lid of screen .overturn the laptop computer so that the bottom is facing up toward you. Hold down the battery’s latch and then remove the battery.
Setp2:
Remove all of the screws from the bottom of the case. swing it up and to left the two plastic covers near the middle of the case that protect the hard drive and RAM modules. Pull off the hard drive directly out of the case and set it aside. Grab both ends of the exposed RAM module and remove it from the case . Repeat the process with the second RAM module if your particular model of laptop has a second memory module.
Setp 3:dismantle the disc drive on the left side of the laptop directly out of the case and set it aside. Turn the computer back over and open up the screen’s lid. Push a flat object, such as a screwdriver head, underneath the large plastic piece above the laptop keyboard that houses the indicator lights and power button. Pop the plastic piece off the laptop. Disconnect the cable connecting the plastic piece to the laptop motherboard.
Setp 4lift down the laptop keyboard from the case and then disconnect the cable connecting it to laptop motherboard. Remove the screws holding the LCD hinges to the case. Slide the card from its port on the Laptop motherboard and set it aside.lift down the laptop hinges and set them aside. Locate the network card at the left end of the laptop motherboard.
Step 5Remove the screws holding the graphics card to the laptop motherboard if your model of laptop has an extra graphics adapter. Slide the card off the laptop motherboard and set it aside. Remove the screws holding the laptop fan and heat sink unit to the laptop’s processor. Remove the them and then pull the processor off its motherboard socket. Set both pieces aside.
Step 6Pull out the screws along the edges of the motherboard. Lift the motherboard straight up and remove it completely from the laptop’s case. Line up the ports on the sides of the new laptop motherboard with the corresponding holes on the case. Push the motherboard down into the case and reconnect the screws.
Step 7Reassemble all of the internal parts you removed to get to the laptop. Set the plastic piece and keyboard back onto the case. Replace the battery and then reconnect the hard drive, disc drive, RAM modules and plastic covers. Replace all of the screws. Power on the HP laptop and wait for the operating system to load completely to make sure the motherboard is working.
